Polymer clay journal cover
I made this for my mom for Mother's day. My mother has a ton of journals she has written in over the years, so I thought a cover would make a nice addition and I loved some that I saw posted on FB so I thought I could do that myself. I drew up the design and then sculpted it in polymer clay.
I think this is something I would like to do more of.

Newest creation- Baby Minna
I guess I will start with my newest creation in clay. This is baby Minna, a little 4" mermaid baby
My sister brought me back all kinds of oyster shells from a visit to Alabama, so I have a lot of fun creating the mermaid babies in them. This one is baked into the shell, so she isn't removable.
I have used diamond dust, glass beads, glitter and glass bubbles to embellish both the baby and the shell.
she is sculpted from Prosculpt polymer clay. Her hair is Tibetan lamb fur and has a string of tiny pearls running through it. Her skin blush is from China paint and her fish tail is painted with pearl-ex powders and sealed with matte varnish.

Welcome!
Welcome to my newest blog! This is a blog where the things I dream about come to life..
You may remember me formally as Attic Rose Creations, however life change's, interest change and so since it has been around 5 years since I really have done anything with Attic Rose Creations, I have decided to make a change.
My new blog is for dreams, fantasy, whimsey! A place to show my creations in clay, mixed media and photo creations.
You'll find mermaids, fairies, dragons, mystical creatures and other things that might go bump in the night.
I hope you enjoy your visit.
